Created by an Act of Congress in 2013, the U.S. World War I Centennial Commission has a historical mission to plan and develop projects and activities to commemorate the Centennial of WWI. Because of the significance of this five-year national commemorative event, all five living former Presidents have agreed to serve the Commission as honorary chairmen. Atlanta publisher, Bookhouse Group was selected to publish a 304-page, commemorative coffee table book on the centennial of Armistice Day, the historic end of World War 1. The book is scheduled for delivery in October 2019.

World War I, often considered American’s “forgotten war,” shaped the rest of the “American century.” The Commission will use the Centennial as an essential and timely opportunity to educate the country on the causes, courses, and consequences of the war and to honor the heroism and sacrifices of Americans who served. Bookhouse Group is honored to participate in this important, historical event.
