Get To Know Us

The Bookhouse Group core staff includes Rob Levin as president and editor, Barry Levin as publisher, and Renée Peyton as chief operating officer.

Rob and Barry are brothers and business partners. Natives of rural North Carolina, they grew up in both the textile industry and peach business, and thankfully for those industries, neither brother pursued them as gainful employment. Our focus has never wavered: an absolute commitment to quality in any and all aspects of book publishing, corporate histories, and commemorative books. The writing, design, editing, archival searches, new photography, and printing must all represent the finest book publishing talent dedicated to capturing your story.

  • Rob Levin
    Rob Levin President & Editor

Rob Levin, president and editor, graduated from the University of Denver and wrote for newspapers in Colorado, Arizona, and Rhode Island before being recruited to Georgia as the Atlanta Journal & Constitution’s first national feature writer. After ten years in daily journalism, Rob went freelance and his business soon morphed from writing magazine pieces into developing company histories and other commemorative books. He enjoys working on historic houses (okay, “enjoy” might be stretching it) and relaxing in his and his wife’s second home in the Vermont mountains.

  • Barry Levin
    Barry Levin Publisher

Barry Levin, publisher, is charged with business development, our Website, and other marketing related tasks. Barry is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of North Carolina Publishing Institute. His post-college years saw him move into a variety of executive marketing positions in the U.S. and Asia, where he lived in Singapore. He became a partner in Bookhouse in the early 1990s. Barry is also a published author. When not occupied with Bookhouse, he can be found on the tennis courts, bass fishing or grilling with his wife on the back porch of their home.

  • Renée Peyton
    Renée Peyton Chief Operating Officer

Renée Peyton is chief operating officer of Bookhouse Group, Inc. Her duties are numerous and far flung. Renée is an army brat born in Pueblo, Colorado, raised in Denmark, England, and the United States, and graduated from Georgia State University. She handles various financial duties, manages a variety of databases, contends with all IT issues, and works with our fulfillment service, printers, and other vendors. Prior to coming to Bookhouse, Renée ran a software consultancy. Away from the office, Renée enjoys traveling and food, whether it is cooking it for friends or finding the next great restaurant.
