Organized in Washington, D.C. in 1944, American Waterways Operators has selected Bookhouse to publish a commemorative-anniversary book. This book will be celebrating AWO’s fascinating 75-year history.

The American Waterways Operators is the national advocate for the U.S. tugboat, towboat and barge industry. AWO serves the nation as the safest, most environmentally friendly, and most economical mode of freight transportation. AWO members operate on the rivers, coasts, the Great Lakes, and harbors of the United States. Vital commodities are moved safely, reducing air emissions, water pollution, and highway congestion, protecting homeland security, and providing family-wage jobs for tens of thousands of Americans.

Publication is scheduled for Fall, 2019.
