In late October, American Waterways Operators (AWO) debuted its 75-year history, The Reach of Our Vision, at their annual convention in San Diego. Headquartered in Arlington, VA, this vital organization spearheads safety, legislative and training issues for the barge tugboat and towboat industry in the U.S. AWO members operate on the rivers, coasts, Great Lakes, and harbors of the United States, moving vital commodities safely, reducing air emissions, water pollution, and highway congestion, protecting homeland security, and providing family-wage jobs for tens of thousands of Americans. Bookhouse is also converting AWO’s book to an eBook format.
