Do Equal Right, the long anticipated history of the United States District Court, Northern District of Georgia, debuted in Atlanta on October 31. Written by Luther “Dan” Thomas, the longest-serving of the Northern District of Georgia’s fourteen clerks of court, Do Equal Right covers the court’s history between 1849 and 2013. Thomas takes the reader into the courtroom for a first-hand look at the workings of one of the largest District Courts in the country. Included in this rich history are bits and pieces of famous defendants who have passed through its courtrooms, such as Al Capone and Eric Rudolph. Originally submitted 11/3/14
