University of Scranton SealJust days after announcing that we were selected to publish a 50th anniversary book for University of Missouri—St. Louis, Bookhouse Group was awarded the contract to publish University of Scranton's 125th anniversary commemorative book. Competition was intense, but the university's book committee felt Bookhouse offered a more thoughtful, compelling editorial approach that would best tell the university's rich 125-year history. The book is scheduled for publication later this year.

The Cover of the French Edition of the 4th edition of the Tobacco Atlas

The French Edition of the American Cancer Society's International Tobacco Atlas recently debuted at an international health conference in Dakar, the capital of Senegal, Africa. Bookhouse has published the last two annual editions of the International Tobacco Atlas, each published in four different languages…English, French, Mandarin and Arabic. The international health community roundly praised the Atlas for its graphical presentation of vital tobacco-related information.

Edgecombe Community College Book Cover

Creating an Edge for 45 Years is the story of Edgecombe Community College, in North Carolina, and the people who have been and continue to be a part of its history. Opening in 1968 in an abandoned prison building, ECC has grown to a two-campus college of over 120 acres. Through narrative, personal reminiscences of its former and current presidents, administrators, instructors, students and community leaders, the history of ECC unfolds in this beautiful commemorative anniversary book. More than 100 photographs reveal the astonishingly rapid growth of the college and help tell the story of its success.

Bookhouse Group was chosen over several other companies to produce an essay-based history that will celebrate the University of Missouri-St. Louis' first half century. For content, UMSL has invited a number of alumni, students, faculty, and administrators to submit personal essays and first-hand recollections, sharing their various UMSL experiences. This 50th anniversary commemorative history is scheduled for publication in August.
